2021 Reunion Weekend Planning Underway

Mail call! Invitations to this year's KAA Reunion Weekend are in the mail and headed your way.

After missing our 101st Reunion last year, we are looking forward to reuniting with fellow friends and classmates this Memorial Day Weekend. The activities will take place on Friday, May 28 and Saturday, May 29, 2021. The theme for the weekend is “Where the Stars and Stripes and the Eagle Fly”—Tribute to the Veterans! Join us in honoring the members of the military who served or died defending their country.

This year, things will be a little different due to COVID-19. To celebrate safely, we will be adhering to COVID-19 guidelines in place by the CDC and Governor Justice at that time. All activities will take place on the field behind the school.

The invitations and additional information have been mailed to those in our database – keep an eye out, they should be arriving soon!

We encourage participation in the parade that will take place on Saturday, May 29 beginning at 11:00 a.m. Make a plan to enter your floats, decorated cars, side-by-sides, and more…everyone is welcome. Contact Donna Singleton at (304) 853-2777 or e-mail at singleton.donna5@gmail.com if you plan to be in the parade.

All reunion classes will be eating on the field. Reunion classes are those ending in 5 and 0 (1950, 1955, 1960, 1964, etc.) and 6 and 1 (1946, 1951, 1956, 1961, etc.). The dinner menu will consist of pulled pork BBQ sandwiches, baked beans, coleslaw, pasta salad, dessert, and drinks. Plates will be prepared by servers to limit contact.

We will provide as much seating as possible, but you are also encouraged to bring your own chairs. There will be no designated seating for reunion classes this year.
